The Open Line's 2011 Penny Auction was held on November 4th at the East Greenville Fire Company and was a huge success. The nearly 250 community members in attendance not only enjoyed an evening of fun and great prizes, but also raised money to help their friends and neighbors in need. This year's event made a net profit of more than $8,000.
At this time, we would like to acknowledge the individuals and businesses who dedicated their time, energy, and resources to making this event a success. First, we thank the 138 businesses and individuals who made monetary contributions as well as in-kind donations of gift certificates and auction items for the cause. This event would not be possible without their generosity and support.
In addition to the 200 plus trays of Penny Auction items, we were fortunate to have seven grand prizes that were raffled off throughout the evening. The grand prizes included: 1) Two lower level tickets to a Flyers' game donated by Stauffer Glove & Safety; 2) Coby 32" HDTV with stereo speakers donated by The Open Line's board of directors; 3) 4' picketback glider donated by Wood Naturally; 4) Electric fireplace donated by Melinda Cunningham; 5) Two tickets to an Eagles' game donated by Brian Pantalione; 6) Nintendo DSi XL with game donated by Univest Bank & Trust Co; and 7) TomTom XL 335-/SE donated by QNB.
