April is Volunteer Appreciation Month
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, a time to recognize the ordinary people who accomplish extraordinary things through service. In celebration of Volunteer Appreciation Month, The Open Line would like to thank the community members who dedicate their time, energy, and resources to assisting those in need in our community. Whether you are an Open Line volunteer, community partner or donor, you help demonstrate each day that we can make a difference!
2012 All-Star Brunch and Silent Auction
The Board would like to extend to you a warm invitation to enjoy a great brunch and support The Open Line at the same time. Our All-Star Brunch & Silent Auction will be held from 12-3 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 at the Carriage House Restaurant in East Greenville. This event includes a brunch and silent auction; tickets are $45 per person. Please join us for great food, meet The Open Line board and staff, and come ready to bid on travel, gift and service items. Proceeds support The Open Line's services and programs.

Penny Auction
The Open Line's annual Penny Auction will be held Friday, November 2, 2012 at the East Greenville Fire Company. Proceeds from the event help provide food, utilities, counseling and support services for local families in need. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and bidding starts at 6:45 p.m. Admission is $2/Children 10 & under are free. Light refreshments will be for sale at the event, so stop by The Open Line’s bake sale table to pick up your homemade goodies. Additional refreshments will be for sale by the E.G.F.C. Ladies Auxiliary.
This event would not be possible without the generosity and support of local merchants, businesses and individuals who donate a variety of gifts for the auction. The prizes available to bid on this year include gift baskets, electronics, home and garden items, sporting goods, tools, toys and games, gift certificates to local businesses and much more. In addition to these great prizes, a 50/50 raffle will be held and every patron will receive a complimentary door prize item.

School Supplies
Thank you to everyone who donated school supplies this past fall. Your generosity provided much needed supplies for 141 students in the Upper Perkiomen Valley.
Upper Perkiomen Valley Community Services Coalition (UPVCSC)
Coalition work continues to move toward economies of scale, potential merger and identification of a property or building that would support growth of a campus to house many of our community based organizations. Monthly team meetings are attended by interested community leaders and residents.
